Hartford was put under a tornado warning! That NEVER happens. I’m working in Boston today, but I’m told that fortunately my house and my parents’ house are both still standing. I hope everyone else is OK!
Edited to Add: As it turns out, it wasn’t too bad, apparently. That’s a relief. A couple years ago Slate Magazine declared the area around Storrs to be the safest in the country in terms of natural disasters.

So far, so good. The only reported tornado was over near the NY border, and the thunderstorms are starting to subside.

Now that’s scary. But seriously, a tornado in Hartford? I’m sure your socks did it. There’s no other explanation.
